Our People

Kronley & Associates has deliberately been kept small. We supplement staff with associates, widely recognized for their specific expertise, whom we deploy on projects. This practice ensures that clients have immediate and continuous access to the firm's principal while also benefiting from the associates' knowledge and experience.

Staff

Robert A. Kronley, President of Kronley & Associates, has been working in the area of public policy, philanthropy organizational change and education reform for over three decades. He helped create and later directed the Southern Center for Studies in Public Policy, which undertook research and developed and operated programs to promote equity in the South. He later advised the Southern Education Foundation on strategies and programs that resulted in the organization’s shift from a private foundation to a public charity and continue to shape the group’s work. Mr. Kronley advises foundations, businesses, families and governmental agencies on education, philanthropy and public policy, areas in which he has also written extensively.

Mr. Kronley received the A.B. from Columbia University and the J.D. from New York University.

Associates

A senior member of the team, Ms. Rosewater has extensive experience leading organizations in the executive and legislative branches of the federal government and in national and local nonprofit organizations. In her consulting work, she has advised foundations, non-profit organizations, federal, state and local governments and universities. Ms. Rosewater has developed extensive policy and programmatic strategies for major national foundations - including Ford, Annie E. Casey, Rockefeller, Pew Charitable Trusts, William and Flora Hewlett and Robert Wood Johnson - as well as for leading family, regional and community foundations. She has also recently completed a report for the Committee on Education and Labor of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Ms. Rosewater is a graduate with distinction of Wellesley College and holds a master’s degree from Columbia University.

Ms. Swett's education in business and her background in marketing, communications and project management has brought a unique perspective to the firm and added substantial value for clients. Before joining the firm in 2008, Ms. Swett worked with a range of organizations - from large corporations to small nonprofits and start-ups - to provide marketing, client relations, and project management. Recent projects have included presentations, reports, surveys and research for the Raymond John Wean Foundation, Coaching Corps, the Ford Foundation, the Panasonic Foundation, the Georgia Charter Schools Association, Meridian Public School District, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Kauffman Foundation.

Ms. Swett holds an M.B.A. from Oglethorpe University and a bachelor's degree from Guilford College.

Ms. Graitcer currently advises the Public Education Foundation (PEF) of Chattanooga, where she directs the Osborne Fellows Initiative, coordinates PEF's work in teacher quality, and also consults on general organizational matters related to development, planning and evaluation.  Ms. Graitcer understands and has managed the relationship between business and philanthropy. During a fifteen-year tenure with the BellSouth Foundation, including service as executive director, she forged numerous signature programs designed to strengthen school leadership and education quality for young people from pre-school to higher education. In addition, she has founded, chaired and/or served on numerous boards and advisory committees including Grantmakers for Education, the Center for Teaching Quality in North Carolina, the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University, the Business Advisory Committee on Teacher Quality for the National Alliance of Business, and the new national organization Urban Teacher Residency Institute.  

Ms. Graitcer holds a master's degree in public health from Harvard University, a master's degree in education from Temple University, and a B.A. from Smith College.
